PARTNERS OF GEP ASSOCIATES PLT
FELIX GONG WOOI TEIK, Senior Partner, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Fellow Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia.
Felix completed his articleship in London in the early seventies and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976. Thereafter he returned to Malaysia and worked for 2 of the big 4 Accounting firms for a few years. In 1980, he started his own Accounting Firm and currently he is the Senior Partner of GEP Associates PLT.
Felix has nearly 40 years’ experience in providing auditing, financial & accounting and taxation services to Small & Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs), Multinational Companies (MNCs) and Public Listed Companies (PLCs). He has been involved in Initial Public Offerings (IPO) and has acted as Reporting Accountant. In addition, he provides business consultancy & tax advisory to many companies.
Felix sits on the Board of several Public Listed Companies as an Independent Non Executive Director, presently & past.
Apart from the above, he is also involved in several voluntary organizations. He was the Charter President of Junior Chamber International Petaling Jaya, Past President of Tropicana Residents’Association and Past Secretary of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Malaysia.
LIM VI-VIAN, Partner, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Vivian joined GEP in 2000 while still studying for the professional exams. She graduated in 2001 and has been with the firm for more than 21 years. She has progressed from Audit Assistant when she first joined to Audit Director on 15 December 2018. On 1 January 2022, she was made a Partner of GEP Associates PLT.
She manages a portfolio of clients in her group with diverse operations in manufacturing, trading, retail, construction, investment properties, property development, non-profit organizations, educational provider, solicitors and freight forwarders. The clients under her include multinational companies and public listed companies. She also has experience in due diligence audits and share valuations.
In addition, she looks into the training needs of the firm and also provide training to the staff.
LIEW WEI HON, Partner, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Wei Hon joined GEP in 2007 and was promoted to Senior Audit Manager on 1 November 2017. On 1 January 2022, he was promoted to Audit Director and on 1 January 2025, he was made a partner of GEP Associates PLT. He manages a portfolio of clients and his audit experience covers a wide variety of companies which include public listed companies, multinational companies, non-profit organizations, small and medium sized enterprises in various industries. He also has experience in due diligence audits and share valuations.
He provides training to the staff in the firm and also looks into the implementation of the CCH ProSystem fx Engagement audit software.
DATO’ ESTHER TAN CHOON HWA, Adviser, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Fellow Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia.
Dato’ Esther acquired her professional status through articleship at an International Firm in London in the ‘70s. Prior to commencing her career in public accounting practice in Malaysia, she had several years of experience in audit as well as lecturing in accountancy in London and Kuala Lumpur. She worked as a Financial Controller in KL with a Singapore based company for some time before venturing to start her own accounting practice in 1984.
Her main interests are Initial Public Offerings (IPO), Corporate governance & corporate planning, Due diligence exercises, Business and corporate advisory services, Risk management and Tax planning.
Dato’ Esther is an Independent Non Executive Director of 3 Public Listed Companies and her other appointments include

GEP ASSOCIATES PLT - AUDIT DIVISION
MARY ANN GONG, Consultant, is a member Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Mary-Ann has been performing accounting and audits for over twelve years providing her with vast experience and sharp expertise in a variety of industries.
Previously an Audit manager for one of the big four audit firms and Finance manager for an electricity and gas industry, she is well accustomed to any accounting or audit situation.
Mary-Ann’s experience includes accounting and auditing of multinational companies, public companies, profit and non-profit organisations.
With meticulous attention to detail, she provides an experience and reliable service.
NOR SHAZLINA MD PILUS (INA), Senior Audit Manager, graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Ina joined GEP in 2013, was promoted to Audit Manager on 1 February 2022 and subsequently to Senior Audit Manager on 1 February 2025. She has broad experience in auditing multinational companies, non-profit organisations, and small- and medium-sized enterprises across various industries and is involved in managing audit engagements and working closely with clients to deliver quality audit services.
CHOK WENG SZE (AMANDA), Audit Manager, graduated with Advanced Financial Accounting and an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Amanda joined GEP in 2014, was promoted to Assistant Audit Manager on 1 December 2018 and Audit Manager on 1 December 2022. Her experience includes audits of multinational companies and small and medium sized enterprises with diverse operations such as trading, retail, construction, investment properties and non-profit organizations.
CHEW CHU SENG, Audit Manager, graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) with honors
Upon his graduation, Chu Seng joined GEP. Currently he is the Audit Manager.
His experience includes audits of public listed companies, multinational companies, non-profit organizations and small and medium sized enterprises of various industries.
Dini Mokhtar (Dini), Assistant Audit Manager, is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Dini joined GEP on 2 April 2018 and was promoted to Assistant Audit Manager on 1 January 2024. Dini has experience in auditing multinational companies, non-profit organisations, and small- and medium-sized enterprises across various industries.
GEP TAX SERVICES SDN BHD - TAX DIVISION
FOONG KOK KEONG, Executive Director, is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (FCTIM) and a Chartered Tax Practitioner (CTP). He is an Approved Income Tax Agent under Section 153(3) of the Income Tax Act 1967, an Approved GST Agent under Section 170 of the Goods and Services Tax Act 2014, and an Approved MyGCAP GST Reviewer by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
Foong has more than 34 years of experience in taxation, including 14 years within three of the "Big 4" accounting firms (Arthur Andersen, KPMG, and EY). He has also worked in medium-sized tax firms and spent 4 years with the multinational public listed company, Berjaya Group Berhad, within its in-house tax unit.
His experience covers all types of direct and indirect tax compliance and consulting work for a cross-section of MNCs and PLCs in Malaysia, as well as for Malaysian companies venturing overseas. He manages tax engagements concerning tax due diligence reviews, applications for government incentives with MIDA, Biotech Corporation, and MSC, and conducts GST and Transfer Pricing implementation reviews for both PLC and non-PLC companies in Malaysia. Additionally, Foong advises clients on e-invoicing implementation and Sales and Service Tax (SST) engagements.
He also represents clients in tax audit and investigation cases involving the Inland Revenue Board and Royal Malaysian Customs and attends tax appeal cases at the Special Commissioners of Income Tax in Putrajaya.
Foong is a Member of AGN International Tax Committee.
LEONG SOON YEE, Senior Tax Manager, is an Associate Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and has obtained her Bachelor Degree in Commence (Accounting) with Honours. Currently, she has over 15 years of working experience as a tax practitioner.
She handles tax compliance and consultancy works for SMEs and MNCs which involved various business sectors such as manufacturing, trading, investment holdings, services, construction, property development as well as tax matters for individuals, expatriates, partnerships, trade associations and co-operative society clients.
Besides having tax compliance experiences, she has assisted clients in various tax advisory engagements, tax audit appeals with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, tax incentives applications, advising clients on withholding taxes, Goods and Services Taxes, Real Property Gains Taxes, Sales and Services Taxes, preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentation and tax due diligent works, etc.
She is also the tax leader in charge for transfer pricing and special tax audit assignments for the firm.
YEE CHUN HEN (HENRY), Senior Tax Manager, is an Associate member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Management Accounting).
With over 15 years of professional experience in Malaysia taxation, with proven track record of success in compliance solutions in optimizing tax efficiencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliances with Malaysia tax laws and regulations.
He also has extensive experience in advising local and multinational corporation on tax advisory specializing on tax audit and investigation across different sectors. Henry assists clients in liaison & meetings with Customs and IRB officers especially on appeal matters. With his analytical prowess and ability to drive results in complex tax environments, Henry provides exceptional leadership to the tax arena in the firms.
Apart from this, he is also involved in other advisory works such as RPGT, RPC, withholding tax, GST and sales & service tax, private ruling, transfer pricing, tax exempt status such as Section 44(6) of ITA 1967 for society etc.
He has a diverse clients portfolio - including manufacturing, professional services, trading, property development, societies etc.
JASMINE GONG, Senior Tax Manager, Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Since graduation in 2008, Jasmine has a total of nine years of experience in the accounting and investment banking industry. She has exposure and knowledge in accounting, taxation and corporate finance.
Jasmine is familiar with providing a full range of professional accounting services comprising of preparation and interpretation of Financial Statements and tax returns. When she was working as an investment banker, she had been involved in providing corporate advisory to listed companies, which includes, company valuation, mergers and acquisition, disposals and fund raising (i.e. rights issue and private placements). Through her experience, she has acquired an understanding in the business operations and knowledge of regulatory compliance. Jasmine places high importance in client service.
Jasmine joined GEP in 2018 and is now involved in tax compliance and advisory. She manages a portfolio of clients in various industries such as manufacturing, investment holding and property development.
Nurul Ezzatie Zulkarnain, Assistant Tax Manager, holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Alor Gajah, Melaka, and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Since joining the firm in February 2018, she has gained extensive experience in diverse taxation matters. Her responsibilities encompass tax compliance for corporate and non-corporate clients—including individuals, societies, and Joint Management Bodies (JMB)—as well as Withholding Tax (WHT), Transfer Pricing Documentation (TPD), Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT), and tax audits and investigations. She works closely with clients and relevant authorities to ensure full compliance with the Income Tax Act and other applicable regulations.
HERITAGE ACCOUNTING SERVICES SDN BHD - ACCOUNTING DIVISION
LEE LAI KUAN, Manager of the Accounting Division, is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants and Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Approved GST Agent under the Ministry of Finance.
Lai Kuan has many years’ experience working in various commercial sectors and industries including that of a Consultant in a MSC company. Her exposure to various computer software and packages lends her in good stead to see the clients’ individual needs as she has the knowledge to customize and adapt systems for them. Being assisted by her team she has been the backbone of several clients’ computerized records, financial reporting and payroll implementation.

GONG WOOI KWONG (GAVIN) ACIS (CS) (CGP), Chartered Secretary, is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA).
He is a practicing Company Secretary with more than 40 years’ experience in providing mainstream corporate secretarial and advisory services for companies in various industries and businesses. His expertise covers incorporation, liquidation, re-structuring and re-organization, mergers and acquisition and compliance with the requirements of the Companies Act. As a Corporate Governance Professional, he also advises companies on corporate governance compliance matters.
PAULINE LYE, Chartered Secretary, is a fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (The Governance Institute).
Pauline has more than 30 years of experience in administration and company secretarial services. She has worked for 2 major banks in Malaysia as well as in one of the affiliated secretarial division of one of the big 4 accounting firms. Since 1986, she has practiced as a Company Secretary providing corporate secretarial advisory services to various types of businesses including foundation, public and multinational companies. Apart from playing a vital role in ensuring clients’ compliance with relevant regulations and authorities, she has also participated in due diligence work for clients in their initial public offering exercise, corporate restructuring and continuing corporate governance compliance. She has experience in advising suitable business structure to foreign companies wishing to set up businesses in Malaysia and liaising with relevant authorities.
HUM WENG YEW, Chartered Secretary, is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (The Governance Institute).
Weng Yew is a Company Secretary with more than 20 years working experience in mainstream corporate secretarial work. He began his secretarial career with an affiliate of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and thereafter joined the internal secretarial department of several public listed companies. He is also responsible for the company secretarial work of several companies limited by guarantees.
CATHERINE FOO, Chartered Secretary, graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and is an Associate member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (The Governance Institute).
Catherine joined the firm’s Secretarial Division in 2009 as Company Secretarial Assistant and was subsequently promoted to Senior Company Secretary in 2014. Having more than 9 years of experience in corporate secretarial work of various natures, she provides corporate secretarial advisory services to clients of different corporate background ranging from medium size companies or charitable organizations to public listed companies. Her experience includes new company formation, business expansion, corporate acquisitions, corporate restructuring, members’ voluntary liquidation, initial public offering exercise, corporate governance compliance and domestic inquiry exercise.
